Big Charm Players, a vibrant new community theatre company, was founded in May 2023 when four passionate individuals, led by Gary Jurkiewicz, came together to bring this vision to life. Fueled by enthusiastic public support, a dedicated group of about ten members began meeting weekly to craft a compelling Vision and Mission Statement, along with Core Values to guide the organization. To establish a strong foundation, we appointed initial officers and engaged a corporate business attorney to assist in filing for Not-For-Profit status with the State of North Carolina, which was successfully granted on August 31, 2023. By December 2023, Big Charm Players received official confirmation from the IRS of its 501(c)(3) status, marking a significant milestone in our journey to enrich the community through theatre.
